I spent some time today uploading corrected Kindle and paperback files for ECHOES OF SILENCE. A frequent criticism of the paperback was the size of the print, which left too much white space on the page. On the Kindle version, there was no table of contents. Both of these issues are hopefully fixed now–owners of the Kindle edition should get the new version uploaded automatically. I’ll have them send me a proof print for the paperback version to make sure it looks correct now.
Well, the e-book was fine for me. Let’s say I waited quite a long time for it after the pre-order and I wasn’t really interested in anything other than reading it. 🙂
Since you are self publishing, will it be possible to get your ebooks anyplace other than Amazon? I have stopped buying from Amazon. I was dismayed to find so few of your books available in e-format elsewhere (namely Bookshop dot org). I don’t like to clutter up my house with hardcopy. The books I read (and re-read!) are on my pad.
I am technically free to offer Echoes of Silence and future self-published works on other platforms as well. The Frontlines, Frontlines: Evolution, and Palladium Wars novels released so far are exclusive to Amazon, however, because 47North is their science fiction and fantasy imprint.
Well, I have all those. I just don’t want to miss Eclipse! Will Eclipse close the storylines?
Yes, it will be the final novel in the series and tie up all the storylines.
Thank you for correcting the Kindle version. It is awesome that you are able to make corrections and very much appreciated. I look forward to reading the series again.
I have a paperback copy of the book, with font too tiny for my 71 year old eyes to read. It’s not returnable, either. Don’t like having to buy the same book twice, but I’ll see about the Kindle version. Hopefully that will work.
Send me an email at marko.kloos@gmail.com, and I’ll see if I can send you one of the corrected copies.
Thanx. But Echoes seemed perfect already. I will download the newer version.
AND PLEASE KEEP ON WRITING. The importance of sleep is over-blown. Your books are so good that I have read every Frontline book twice so far waiting for the next. Centers of Gravity four times now.
The only thing I didn’t like was the size of the book. I would of thought it would of been the same size as every other book you have in print.
The other books were put out by 47North, but I self-published this one through our little in-house operation. It’s really, really difficult to duplicate the trade paperback in every aspect with the limited tools available on KDP.
