Today is the release day for CORVUS, the second book in the Frontlines: Evolution series!
When colonial refugee-turned-soldier Alex Archer is stranded on a hostile planet with her unit, she has to draw on her experiences growing up on an occupied world to keep her little band of survivors alive.
CORVUS is available here in Kindle, paperback, and Audible formats.
Buy, read, enjoy, leave a review if you enjoyed, tell your friends, tell them to tell their friends. Heck, just approach people on the street and hold out the paperback. Say “Is good book. You read. You read now.”

Hell yeah! Read it in one day and almost in one sitting.
And I have to say iam so glad it at least hints at solving my biggest pet-peeve with this series, by (finally!) changing their tactics against Lankys. Its mind-boggeling how apparently Alex gets taught the same anti-human tactics like Grayson after an entire WW2 of very different action (L-shaped ambushes and the like). And did no-one read the reports about the frakking lanky-tunnels or why are the humans always so surprised by Lankies using tunnels for ambushes?? They NAC sure seems to be surprised by them every single time
Me for a year and a half: yeah so Corvus must be about going back mob-handed to the rogue planet 700 light years into the constellation of Corvus, lock and load, boys, time for a creepy nighttime ass-kicking. MK: yeah so meet Alpha Corvi, your local friendly star system only 49 light years away. But still, lock and load, boys. Oo-rah.
You got me good!
Finished it an hour ago and my head is spinning with what the future holds.
Absolutely brilliant, cannot wait for book 3.
I thought Frontlines- Evolution (Scorpio, etc) took place after the original Frontlines, but the carrier in Corvus is dull black rather than orange, and the NAC and SAR aren’t united (they are just allies). So, Corvus seems to take place prior to “Orders of Battle.” Scorpio seemed to allude to events in Center of Gravity, though. So, could someone tell me how these novels fit into the timeline?
Scorpio takes place a year after Centers of Gravity, and Corvus takes place a year after Scorpio.
Wasn’t there a mention during Alex’s reorientation about the Washington’s journey being a month old at that point?
It was mentioned at the end of Scorpio: ”Whatever they brought back with the ship that disappeared for three years, it really got R&D spinning.”
I was looking for another military SF read, and the name Marko Kloos came up. Holy shit, he wrote the essay Why the Gun is Civilization! I consumed Palladium Wars & am looking forward to Eclipse. I switched over to Frontlines – finished Terms after work today. I’ve just read the Prologue of Lines and I find myself in a bit of a pickle – I want to keep reading, but I am out of Hofbrau Oktoberfestbier and I must get to work early tomorrow. Vielen danke MK! This shit rocks!
I loved Palladium Wars too!. I also dying to read Eclipse!
The addition of call-back characters meshed very well, and the epilogue was heart-warming.
I don’t want to wait two years for the next stage!
You won’t have to. I am currently writing the third book, which should see a release by the middle of next year.
So much for the errands I meant to run today. Lost the day to the book. Worth it.
This book universe (not calling it series because technically Frontlines has two the original and evolution) deserves a wiki or something because I’m sure given the opportunity fans would write their own stories as is the case with every incredible franchise.
GUYS! I JUST FOUND A WIKI FOR FRONTLINES THAT SOME MADLAD HASN’T UPDATED IN TWO YEARS! CHECK IT OUT!

Finished it! Can’t wait to see what Grayson is planning against the Lankies in Cygnus!
Man, I was not expecting to burn through that so quickly but I couldn’t put it down. Very excited to see what comes next.
I’m also happy to hear Palladium is coming soonish. With Echoes of Silence, Corvus, and that, we’re eating good this year!
Have my copy and I can’t wait to start it. I was telling my son about Frontlines last night on the phone. I convinced him to start it.
This was a great surprise this morning! Read the book and it was better than I’d even hoped. I’m really looking forward to the new unit patches.
I found my kindle dead this morning, just from a low battery. It’s charging right now so I can download Corvus.
Second time in a row!
Went to sleep after finishing a good book, waking up in the morning to get notification from Amazon I have a Marko book ready!
Can’t ask for more!
Congratulations on the release! Just hit my Kindle and looking forward to reading it as soon as I finish my current book.
Great book! Pity it’s a bit late for the 2025 Dragon Awards – it would’ve been a serious contender! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YViFN0wFiFY
Finished it now. Brilliant and loved it more than Scorpio.
