Why didn’t anyone inform me that licorice-flavored gum is a thing?
(Today I learned that Black Jack has been around since 1884, that it was the first flavored gum in the United States, and that it was the first gum to be offered in sticks.)

Chuck Yeager was shown in “The Right Stuff” unwrapping a stick of Beeman’s just before the B-29 dropped him in the Bell X-1 for his supersonic record run in 1948.
Gum has been making Americans look like hicks for decades.

You didn’t ask? They also make a flavor called tea berry, and I believe a clove flavored gum.
