Centers of Gravity cover reveal

 

I am pleased to be able to show you the cover for CENTERS OF GRAVITY, Frontlines #8, which will be out on August 30. I think it may just be the best-looking Frontlines cover yet, although they’ve all been really great.

The book is available for pre-order in Kindle, paperback, and Audible formats. Pre-orders make my publisher happy, which in turn helps me to keep making up stuff for a living, so if you have a mind to read the eighth Frontlines book anyway and See How It All Turns Out, consider pre-ordering it and then seeing it appear on your Kindle (or your doorstep) in August 30 AS IF BY MAGIC.

  1. I didn’t even think about it until the past week, but the Dragonflies all have the High-Viz paint scheme. That’s a neat detail to have.

    Although why the planet is so bright when it’s dark like a black cat at midnight, I don’t know.

    1. The covers never fully match the story. The cover is always a sort of an “inspired by” sort of thing, and the color schemes and motifs need to be distinct and visible even when they’re reduced to a stamp-sized book cover icon on the Amazon page or someone’s B&W Kindle.

  2. Might be a stupid question, but anyway: Can I preorder anywhere else than any amazon related company?
    I very much enjoy the series (even if that cliffhanger in the last book wasn’t what I hoped for, since all of the previous books where very much self contained and I think that was a huge part that made the series so enjoyable)

  3. Marko, you’ve created two universes (Frontlines and Palladium Wars) I just love reading about. You keep writing them, I will keep buying them.

  4. Really looking forward to this, but still can’t pre-order on Audible (UK)! Is the next Palladium wars planned this year? Really excited about that aswell 🙂

    1. Next Palladium Wars will be written in the second half of this year, so it’ll be released mid-2023 if I do my part and turn the draft in on time.

  6. As soon as the pre-order popped up I clicked it. This is one of my favorite series to read/listen too. Thank you for writing such a great series. I can’t find anything quite like this 🙂 I tell all my sci fi reader friends every chance I get about it. I found this series when I needed it the most and it reignited my love for this type of sci fi.

  8. I read the Great Space Kablooie books before Audible, but Audible brought the series to my kids and I as we did the long commutes to their summer digital-art-and-game-programming camps.

    Commuting is a thing that doesn’t happen anymore, but if you think I’m not going to get the whole package, there is something very wrong with the market research.

  11. 🙁 Not on Audible yet….can hardly wait!!!!!! I’m still on Book 5. Trying to pace myself, lol so I won’t have so long to wait for the latest!!

    I realized something: I’ve read everything that was published by Frank Herbert, Stephen King and Marko Kloos!
    Disclaimer – I’m talking several books, not writers with 2-3 books and in SF those are quite few.

  16. I really enjoy this one as well! That’s what I picture in my mind of the NAC going after one of the moons on the Rogue Planet. I’m excited to see how it all ends, but also a little sad to see it coming to an end as well; similar to my favorite TV shows having a series finally. I already have my Kindle on pre-order!

  17. I searched on Amazon. It did not come up. I clicked on one of the other books in the series, then went down to the series display, then scrolled to the right, and it was there, at the end of the series. So I could pre-order 🙂
